2 simple tea candle ornaments

Christmas is getting closer and closer, and we’re slowly drifting into Holiday mood. If you’re into home made candle ornaments, like yours trully, I got 2 more ideas for you (and in case you missed the one from last week, follow this link).

CINNAMON STICK ORNAMENT
You will need about 19 cinnamon sticks (the ones I bought were for decoration purposes only and are not edible), round-shaped carton or cardboard (8.5cm) for the base, a nice ribbon and hot glue gun. Plus a tea candle. 😉 Simply glue each cinnamon stick in circle onto the cardboard and try to glue them as close together as possible (which is not always easy, since not all the sticks are straight and/or tend to be of different sizes – but don’t worry, it’s OK). Tie a piece of nice ribbon around the sticks, which will help holding them together and will make the ornament even nicer. Carefully place a tea candle inside and you’re done. Max 20 minutes of work! When you’ll light the candle in the evening, you’ll be enchanted.

PINE CONE ORNAMENT
You will need about 7 small pine cones, round-shaped cardboard (8.5cm) lined with e.g. gift wrapping paper (or shiny green ribbon in my case), hot glue gun and a tea candle.
It couldn’t be more simple: place the tea candle in the middle of the cardboard and glue the cones around it (you can first line the cardboard with some nice wrapping paper, if you wish). Pine cones are one of the most versatile Christmas ornaments ever and I love to use them!
