On the 1st Advent Sunday we usually light one of the four candles that commonly appear in a round composition, with nice decoration and matching colours. Did you buy your adventni venček this year? And Xmas tree with zillions of flashing lights and Santa chocolate candy?
I did not. Neither did I last year. The only thing I have is one candle and I lit it today for other than advent purposes. Call it a protest against all this massive production of useless shiny Xmas trash that no one really needs, or call it despisal for the human ignorance, trying to buy false happiness decorated with colourful ornaments.

Like every year I remember those times when Christmas still had some meaning… remember setting up our Christmas tree with family, playing piano together with one good old Christmas CD… and all that not much more than a decade ago…  All this magic and joy got swept away thanks to the turbocapitalism ™ which has overflown this green little country over the past years, mostly by the hands of  those who led us into embracing that Promised land crap. Once full of hopes for the prosperous future this land (and so many others) could have, now I no longer fool myself.

I could fill this blog with all those absurd nasty, unbelievable affairs happening in my country on daily basis; but it’s just pointless, so I would like instead to wish peace to everyone -except politicians -. Have a beautiful month and… let it snow!! (for snow fans like myself).
