Extended weekend
We've been having a pretty hot weather in Slovenia these days, not to mention all the political scandals and affairs which have greatly contributed to reach even higher temperatures. Besides, on Monday we're celebrating the Independence Day. Without the president of the republic, who refused to give a traditional speech on the commemoration. Can you imagine how bad the things stand here at the moment?
Someone really needs a good chill after all that. And what could be better than a bowl of tasty ice cream and a treat of blueberries with cane sugar? June is a month dedicated to blueberries and almost every Slovene has some aunts, uncles or friends of their parents who venture into the woods, coated with layers of clothes (to protect themselves from a pest called tick), to seek for these little blue pearls, which were recently defined as one of the superfruits.
The best way to eat them is sprinkled with some sugar or even alone.
